Repetition leads to mastery. Release aversion to boredom. Surrender to the rhythm of doing something over and over again until the choreography and rhythm integrate with your being. Boredom is not an alarm signal to drop everything and seek elsewhere.
In a world of instant gratification, we can forget that expertise is gained over many decades, if not lifetimes, of practise. Are you abandoning and neglecting your talents?
Chant one more time. Pray for just one more day. Re-write your manuscript, toss that ball, swing that club, sing that arpeggio…. Repeat it, rehearse it, redo it and commit with all your might.
Make the process the joy and the reward. All efforts are cumulative and contribute to the development of your character.
Your dream is worth it. At the end of this lifetime, you probably won’t care if you failed.
But you might care if you didn’t try. Just sayin’.
